Terms & Conditions of Sale (CGV)

These Terms and Conditions of Sale (“CGV”) apply to all bookings made on hedonist.house with MEDIA TARGET, trading as Hedonist, 10 rue Lancry, 75010 Paris, France (hello@hedonist.house).

By completing a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted these CGV without reservation. They form a binding contract between you and MEDIA TARGET.

1. Scope and services

Hedonist offers short-term furnished apartment rentals in Paris and related services (booking, guest communication, check-in/check-out coordination). These CGV govern the sale of stays booked online via our website.

2. Booking process

1. You select a property, dates and number of guests.
2. You provide accurate personal and payment details.
3. Payment is processed securely at the time of booking (unless otherwise stated).
4. A booking confirmation email constitutes acceptance of your order and formation of the contract.

Prices displayed include applicable taxes and fees as shown on the booking page (including any cleaning fee when indicated). The amount charged is the total shown at checkout.

3. Payment

• Payment is due in full at the time of booking unless a different schedule is expressly indicated.
• We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout (typically major credit/debit cards via Stripe).
• All amounts are in euros (€) unless otherwise specified.

4. Cancellation and refund policy

4.1 Cancellation more than 14 days before arrival

If you cancel your booking 14 days or more before the scheduled check-in date, you are entitled to a full refund of the amounts paid for the stay (including cleaning fee, if any), excluding non-refundable third-party charges if expressly indicated at booking.

4.2 Cancellation less than 14 days before arrival

If you cancel less than 14 days before check-in, or if you fail to show up (no-show), no refund will be due, unless Hedonist expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

4.3 How to cancel

Cancellations must be requested in writing by email to hello@hedonist.house, stating your booking reference and guest name. The date and time of receipt of your email determine whether the 14-day rule applies (Europe/Paris timezone), relative to the check-in date of the booking.

4.4 Refund processing

• Eligible refunds are returned to the original payment method.
• Processing typically takes 5 to 10 business days after confirmation of the cancellation, depending on your bank or card issuer.

4.5 Cancellation by Hedonist

If we must cancel your booking for reasons beyond your control (e.g. force majeure, property unavailable), you will receive a full refund, or an alternative accommodation of equivalent standard if you accept it.

5. Stay conditions

• Check-in: from 3:00 PM (unless otherwise agreed).
• Check-out: by 11:00 AM (unless otherwise agreed).
• The maximum number of guests stated in the booking must not be exceeded.
• The apartment is for residential use only; parties and commercial activities are prohibited unless authorised in writing.
• You must respect house rules and the neighbourhood.

6. Security deposit

Some stays may require a security deposit (amount and method indicated at booking or in the confirmation). The deposit may be used to cover damages, excessive cleaning or breach of house rules. Any unused deposit is released within a reasonable period after check-out (typically 7–14 days), subject to inspection.

7. Liability

You are responsible for the apartment and its contents during your stay, and for any damage caused by you or your guests. Hedonist’s liability is limited to direct damages resulting from proven fault in connection with the booking service, excluding indirect damages. Nothing in these CGV excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

8. Personal data

Personal data collected for bookings is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Data Destruction Policy.

9. Governing law and disputes

These CGV are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, you may first contact us at hello@hedonist.house. Failing amicable resolution, French courts shall have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules that may apply if you are a consumer.
